Enhanced Console Edition Coming To ESO, Free To Play Event Underway Along With Blackwood Prologue

The Console Enhanced version will be launching with the launch of Blackwood on June 8th and will run on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 and will “dramatically improve the game’s visual fidelity and performance”.

The game will run at 60 FPS on next-gen consoles with improved draw distance, textures, shadows, depth of field, and almost every other graphical setting. A comparison between the old and new versions can be seen in the video below.

If you can’t wait for Blackwood to drop on June 8th, you can get a preview of it starting today. The prologue questline is now live and you can pick up the quest from the crown store.

If you are thinking of getting back into the Elder Scrolls Online you might also be interested to know that free-to-play event running from right now until April 13th, with access to all the zones from the base game and Morrowind.

The base game and Greymoor are also on sale during the event should you decide to stay.
