The Burning Crusade assets have been datamined from the Public Test Realm that show potentially how the login screen will look for classic players moving into The Burning Crusade.
Players will get a choice to stay in the Classic era of the game or move on to The Burning Crusade era.
Players that wish to do both will also have that choice but it looks like you will have to pay a fee in order to keep your Classic era toon and move into TBC at the same time.
If you wish to clone your character and play on both versions, that service will be available for a fee.

and how do u guys imagine that i got 8 or 10 chars in classic do i pay 8 times fee? How much will it cost then 20 euro each char? Really bad decision; why not do as with other expansions make pple pay a fee one time? And then: burning crusade is old game that u pimped, so why ask for full fee?

Man why starting this fee? I have a level 50 char, want to level her up to level 60 and then move on to burning crusade, why do i have to pay for everything. I pay each month an exquisit fee to play wow i think that is more than enough to keep playing the way i did. In the past i already paid for playing tbc. This is really a bad decision. Now i am considering to stop playing wow :(
